Potassium salts of humic and fulvic acids
These are mixtures of potassium salts of humic acids and fulvic acids. These salts are characterised by their excellent solubility in water.
When applied to the soil, the humic acids present are broken down into fulvic acids and re-synthesised by micro-organisms. This leads to cycles that are very important for maintaining soil fertility. In addition, humic acids bind organic matter, which is important for plants, but also for the control of toxic organic substances (pesticides, PCBs). They also bind complex-forming metals and thus prevent heavy metals from entering agricultural crops. Alkaline humates alkalize acidic soil and prevent further acidification over time. The action of low doses of humic substances is also reflected in the intensification of nutrient uptake by plants, especially nitrogen, phosphorus and microelements (Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn, B, Mo) in the form of chelates. The practical consequence of the systemic application of humates is therefore a reduction in mineral fertilisation.
Average molecular the mass of potassium humate is 32 000 g/mol. Fractions with a molecular weight below 70 000 g/mol are referred to as Low Molecular and are characterised by their superior properties. Their content in products ranges between 80-90 %. The potassium content of potassium humate ranges from 14 to 16 %.
These are thus substances with extraordinary biological effectiveness, which promote the rooting of young plants, contribute to increasing the performance of plants and their resistance to adverse factors, increase the efficiency of mineral fertilization. Plants are better adapted to environmental conditions, better able to resist adverse effects, e.g. fungal diseases, cold. They do not threaten animals or beneficial insects. They are mixtures of potassium salts of humic acids, fulvic acids and admixtures. They are produced from oxyhumolite by neutralising and extracting the humic acids present with potassium hydroxide in an aqueous medium.
